Structure of the theater
The theater was like a large open outside structure.. Plays were never held inside, they always performed outside in the open theater. The Greek Theater had three main sections: Theatron, Orchestra, and the Skene. The Threatron is the place were you see the plays at. This is where the audience will be at and watch the plays. Eventhough you are like half way up it is still hard to see. You might not be able to see the actors very well but it has very, very amazing audio during the play.
Orchestra- Is the circle shape in the middle of the Theater. This space is called "dancing place" meaning the place were performances happen. This Orchestra is 60ft in diameter and in the very center is an a magnifience altar piece.
Skene- This is the part behind the stage of theater. Basically it serves as a place for actors to go and change, exit, enter, and get to the roof . Actors that will play gods in the play often went to the roof to make it seem if they are the gods looking down. This building or temple plays as a backdrop that is very interactive for the actors.
